Throwback Thursday: Rookie Jayson Tatum gives LeBron James the self proclaimed king a facial
For today's throwback we take you to 2018 when a then recently turned 20 year old rookie Jayson Tatum in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals dunked on the self proclaimed king LeBron James during the fourth quarter, bringing the Celtics within two points of the Cavaliers. While the Cavaliers ultimately won the series, the dunk became a memorable moment for Tatum and a sign of his potential.

The Celtics of course played that play-off run without the two stars brought in to lead the team Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving who were sidelined with season ending injuries. Tatum used the opportunity to expedite his path to stardom helping to lead the undermanned and underdog Celtics to the brink of the NBA Finals.
Tatum would reach the NBA Finals in 2022 and then win it all in 2024.
