Celtics trade Georges Niang and picks to Jazz for undrafted rookie RJ Luis Jr.
Brad Stevens in his goal to reduce salary traded two second round picks today to the Utah Jazz in order to salary dump Georges Niang who was acquired in the Kristaps Porzingis trade to Atlanta. No word yet if the Celtics intend to keep the undrafted rookie RJ Luis Jr who they received in return for Niang. If he does stick around, the 22 year old former UMASS and St. John's lanky guard will likely see most of his time spent in Maine.
Stevens swiftly followed up this trade, by replacing Niang by agreeing to a one year contract with veteran Toronto Raptor Chris Boucher.
