Long rehab ahead for Jayson Tatum following surgery to repair ruptured Achilles tendon
Last night Celtics fans were dealt with a massive blow when Jayson Tatum was injured in Game 4 versus the Knicks. Fans worst fears for confirmed today when it was confirmed that Taum did in fact rupture his right Achilles tendon. The Celtics announced at 4:45 PM today that Tatum "underwent successful surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon."
In the Celtics announcement they say Tatum is expected to make a full recovery. While no timetable was given due to the nature of the injury Tatum is not expected to return until the 2026-27 NBA season. Prayers to Jayson Tatum for a speedy full recovery.
