Jaylen Brown reportedly has partially torn meniscus
Remember when everyone was up in arms on why Jaylen Brown was playing with a bum knee in meaningless late season games trying to qualify to be elgible for an All-NBA team? Well turns out his knee was worse than we even thought. Partially torn meniscus bad accordingh to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown finished the season with a partially torn right meniscus, sources told ESPN.He will be evaluated this week to determine if surgery is needed, sources said.
ESPN previously reported that Brown had received pain injections in his knee. Those injections began in March, sources said.
The Celtics had been calling the injury a "bone bruise and posterior impingement in his right knee." Shelburne's report makes it unclear whether playing on the bum knee caused the meniscus tear, whether it was misdiagnosed, or whether it was purposely downplayed.
