Jrue Holiday responds to Bradley Beal's comments on feeling disrespected by comparison
Bradley Beal caused quite a stir in the NBA world when he chafed at being encouraged to play more like Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer's former champion winning point guard Jrue Holiday. Holiday was asked for his thoughts on the quote and preferred to not be brought into the matter:
It appears that Budenholzer was trying to get Beal to make a transition for the sake of winning similar to how Dennis Johnson changed his game when he came to Boston. Beal wasn't having it and the Suns didn't even qualify for the play-in tournament.
Due to Beal's rare no-trade-clause the Suns are expected to trade Kevin Durant this offseason in order to retool around Devin Booker. But if they can find a taker for Beal in a city where the veteran guard approves of, Phoenix would be thrilled to move on from that failed experiment as well.
