Mavericks fans misery continues as Kyrie Irving suffers season ending torn ACL
When Nico Harrison made the preposterous decision to trade his 25 year old superstar Luka Doncic for the aging and oft injured Anthony Davis, the Dallas Mavericks needed Kyrie Irving to step up into an even larger offensive role to somehow still have success after the swap.Devastating. Irving appeared in 50 of Mavs' 62 games so far, and is currently the only player in the NBA averaging at least 20 points, 40% 3-point shooting and 90% from free throw line -- the fifth season in his career with those statistics, second most all-time to Stephen Curry. https://t.co/PDWXYmM9YO

First Anthony Davis was potentially rushed back too soon from an injury and went down in his first game and hasn't played since. Then starting center Daniel Gafford went down with a knee injury and remains out indefinitely. And now Kyrie Irving has suffered a torn ACL and is out for the year.
Meanwhile the Los Angeles Lakers have climbed to second place in the Western Conference. So deflating for Mavs fans. And also a reminder to Boston Celtics fans of the importance in getting a quality new owner who won't do anything stupid like the Mavs ownership and front office have done.
