Mavericks make another deal, swapping wings with 76ers
Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks have made another trade. A much smaller deal, but they've once again traded the much younger player who is better, and this time they are the ones kicking in a pick. This deal is Quentin Grimes and the return of Philadelphia's 2025 2nd round pick which they owned to the 76ers for Caleb Martin.
The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday.
Quentin Grimes is 5 years younger than Caleb Martin and leads the league in Defensive 3-Point Percentage (D3PT%) this season. Grimes has held 3PT shooters to 22.8%.

So the Mavs traded away the younger and more efficient perimeter defender and even tossed in a SRP….
