Robert Williams III could be reuniting with Ime Udoka in Houston
At 28-14 the Houston Rockets stand in 2nd place in the Western Conference, which is a credit to former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka. Udoka led the Celtics to the NBA finals in his lone season in Boston the 2021-2022 campaign. Truth be told the Celtics likely would have won a championship that season if Robert Williams III was 100% healthy.
Health has always been Williams' biggest obstacle. Time Lord is currently healthy and the Portland Trail Blazers are exploring trade possibilities for Williams before this season's trade deadline.
The Rockets have a deep roster, but with Jabari Smith Jr. currently out, they could use an athletic big like Williams. And based on Udoka and Williams' friendly post game chat the other night, you can be sure that Ime is pushing the Rockets' front office to pull the trigger. The Rockets and Trail Blazers recently conducted exploratory trade talks centered on Robert Williams.

Williams was the main piece used by the Celtics to acquire Jrue Holiday and while I'm sure that Stevens and Mazzulla would enjoy a reunion in Boston, the Celtics don't have the tradeable contracts to add Time Lord's hefty contract.
