Celtics Smash Detroit 129-102 for Their 8th Straight Win
The Boston Celtics made easy work of the Detroit Pistons Friday night, winning by a final score of 129-102 in Motor City.
Trailing by two entering the 2nd quarter, the Celtics established control with a 37-19 run, leading to a 16-point halftime advantage.
Eight straight wins for the C's is their second-longest streak of the season, as Boston appears to be clicking at just the right time. Even without three of their top six guys, the Celts' offensive rhythm was on full display, as multiple guys had outstanding individual performances. The C's finished Friday night's contest with four of their five starters scoring at least 19 points.
Jaylen Brown was the top scorer in the game, putting in 33 points on 13/19 shooting to go along with 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
JB is just so damn good, in 10 games in the month of March, Brown is averaging 29.2 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists on 53% shooting. Incredibly locked in as we get closer to playoff time.
The backcourt of Payton Pritchard and Derrick White (19 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists) had another terrific outing, with Derrick recording another near-triple-double and PP putting up 20 points and 9 assists.
The high level that Payton has been playing at has allowed Jrue Holiday to not rush back from a slight shoulder ding. Getting healthy is the most important thing for this group at this point in the season.
