Boston Enters the Break with a Bang, Blowing out Brooklyn 136-86
The Boston Celtics will be going into the All-Star break on a high following a blowout victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
The C's ended up winning by a final score of 136-86 inside of TD Garden Wednesday night, their 2nd 50-point win of the season.
Boston will take their current 6-game winning streak into the break, which includes 7 straight wins away from home. The point guard duo of Payton Pritchard and Derrick White led the way for the C's, as the two combined for 55 points on 21/32 shooting.
Pritchard recorded a new season-high with 28, falling just 2 points shy of his career-high 30-point outing last season.
Jayson Tatum had another great all-around performance Wednesday night as JT finished his night with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in just 28 minutes.
The Celtics officially conclude the first half of their season at 43-12. That 43-12 record is good for a 6-game lead in the Eastern Conference, with Cleveland in 2nd place at 36-17.Tonight was the 5th 50-point win in Celtics history, including their 2nd this season (beat IND by 51 on 11/1).
