Boston Dominates the Interior in a 125-117 Win Over Atlanta

The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks 125-117 Wednesday night at TD Garden.

This was a hard-fought win for the Celtics against a pesky Hawks team that had won 4 of their last 5 coming into tonight's matchup.

Despite a horrible shooting night from Trae Young (8/25 FG), Atlanta hung in there and made the Celtics work for their 24th home win this season.
Kristaps Porzingis (31 points, 13/19 FG) and Al Horford (14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 blocks) were both outstanding, as they really controlled the interior all night long.

This was arguably Al's best game of the season, as he really made a huge impact on both ends of the floor tonight, coming up with huge plays time and time again.

It's really a shame KP wasn't selected as an All-Star replacement. Porzingis came out tonight looking like he wanted to send an All-Star type of message to Adam Silver and the rest of the NBA.

Even with Jayson Tatum (20 points) and Jaylen Brown (15 points) both being relatively quiet in the scoring column by their standards, the Celtics just keep finding ways to win. With the victory, Boston improved to 39-12 on the season, five games ahead of 2nd place Cleveland.

The Celtics are also 6 games ahead of the preseason Eastern Conference favorite Milwaukee Bucks, who are expected to be very active ahead of the trade deadline Thursday afternoon.

The C's record on their current seven-game season-long homestand is 4-2, with one more game to play on Friday night.

The Celtics next game will be Friday against the Wizards. Go Celtics!
