Boston Reaches 30 Wins With 145-113 Beatdown of Houston
The Boston Celtics gave former head coach Ime Udoka quite the gift in his return to TD Garden, demolishing his Houston Rockets 145-113.
The Celtics moved to 19-0 at home in the 2023-24 campaign, extending the franchise record for most wins to open a regular season.
Tonight's win took the C's to 30-9 on the season, becoming the 1st team in the NBA to reach the 30-win threshhold. It was good to see the guys flush away Thursday night's game and come out with a great performance. Jaylen Brown completely took over in the 3rd quarter, scoring 21 of his 32 points in the period.
The scoring outburst by JB propelled the Celtics to a 43-28 scoring margin in the 3rd, pushing the lead to 26 heading into the final frame.
Jayson Tatum had another efficient night prior to a questionable ejection. JT concluded Saturday's matchup with 27 points and 8 rebounds on 9/17 shooting.
This was a great performance on both sides of the ball for the Celtics. Boston knocked down 24/47 from deep while holding Houston to just 40.4% from the field on the other end.Celtics duo tonight:
