Horford loves Philly fans trash talk, gives him extra energy
76ers fans were rough on Al Horford during his lone season in Philadelphia. And they've continued to let Al have it since his return to Boston. Following a solid spot start on Wednesday, Horford said he appreciated the trash talk because it motivates him.
"There were some fans in the front row talking," Horford told reporters. "And I just love it, man. When I hear that talking, it just gives you a little extra. So I appreciate them. They always do that in that corner here in Philly, I don't know what it is, they want to talk.
"Some people go off in a different way, but to me, I like it. It was good to hit that shot, turn around and look at them and smile."
Fans can get to some more fragile players with trash talk, but with others it just lights a fire. Horford continues to prove he's in the latter category.
