Celtics sign Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk

Free agent Svi Mykhailiuk has agreed to a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

The 26 year old Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk was rumored to be leaning to signing in Europe, but instead will fill one of the Celtics final two roster spots. Svi is a career 36% 3-point shooter and shot 42% from beyond the arc during this past 2022-23 season for the New York Knicks and Charlotte Hornets.

The Ukranian journeyman sharp shooter played in a total of 32 games last season, his fifth in the league. Blake Griffin would appear to be the frontrunner for that 15 and final Celtics roster spot.
