Boston Celtics reportedly very active in trade talks

Longtime Celtics reporter Brian Robb is reporting that according to a league source the Boston Celtics "have been one of the more active teams in the league in trade talks" ahead of next Thursday’s NBA draft. Robb doesn't give any specific details from his source, but opines that point guards Payton Pritchard, Malcolm Brogdon, and Marcus Smart could be names being discussed.

Robb also points out that the Celtics need to make a decision on Grant Williams. Letting him walk for nothing would make the Celtics a worse team, but signing him to a hefty new contract could limit their financial flexibility as a tax team. Even offering Grant a qualifying offer, which would enable to Celtics the opportunity to match an offer sheet if they like could at least temporarily limit Boston's options.
