Celtics defeat Hawks 120-114, finish regular season at 57-25

The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks 120-114 at TD Garden on Sunday afternoon to conclude their 2022-23 regular season. In a game that saw the Celtics and Hawks both rest all of their regular starters, Boston got career highs from three different players.
Payton Pritchard came to play today, recording his first career 30-point game as well as his first career triple-double, finishing the night with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. This just speaks to the Celtics insane depth, regardless of who was or wasn't playing, the Celtics have a guy who just had a 30-point triple-double and he most likely won't be in the playoff rotation. It'll be interesting to see what happens with PP in the off-season.

Mike Muscala also recorded his career high with 27 points to go along with 8 rebounds, while Sam Hauser tied his career high that he set on Friday night, with another 26-point outing. In the end, the Celtics knocked down TWENTY-FIVE threes to help guide them to victory.
Now it's finally time for the fun part. Concluding the season at 57-25 secured the Celtics the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference, as well as home court against any team from the West in the NBA Finals, should they make it that far.

Boston will take on the winner of the 7/8 play-in game Tuesday night between the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat. Thinking about matchups, I think it would be an easier series against Atlanta, but to be honest the Celtics should have enough to handle either of these teams without much struggle.
The most likely path for Boston will end up being Miami, Philadelphia, and then Milwaukee. As daunting as that road may seem, I think the Celtics have more than enough to handle their business and get back to the Finals for the 2nd consecutive season. It's gonna be a fun postseason so strap in C's fans, the playoffs start next weekend!
