Celtics build a huge lead, defeat Atlanta in game 1

The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks in game 1 on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden, winning by a final score of 112-99. Boston was able to build the lead to as much as 32 in the game, including a 74-44 halftime lead. This was a fantastic start to the 2023 playoff run for the C's.
Boston had three players score at least 24 points in the game, including Jaylen Brown, who led the Celtics with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Jayson Tatum pitched in his own double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Derrick White scored 24 points and added 7 assists.

The Celtics defense was extremely effective today, holding the Hawks to just 38.8% from the floor and 5/29 from the three point line. Moving forward, as long as the Celtics can limit Atlanta in transition and on the offensive glass, they should be in good shape.
There was a level of stress that came with Atlanta cutting the 32-point lead down to 12, but Boston controlled this game for the most part. The C's need to make sure they bury teams when they get up big and not allow them back into the game. But enough negatives, that first half was a work of art.

Game 2 will be Tuesday night in Boston, with the Celtics up 1-0 in the series. If Boston comes out with good energy and intensity on both ends, they should be able to take a 2-0 lead heading to Atlanta. Comment your game 1 opinions down below. Go Celts!
