Tatum ejected, Celtics lose in New York 109-94

Yikes. Not a great performance from the Celtics as they got hammered in Madison Square Garden tonight, losing by 15. Boston got out to a horrible start and could just never recover, scoring a season low 15 points in a 1st quarter they lost by 12.
The Celtics offensive woes began in the opening frame and they could just never get going, managing just 94 points for the game. The main contributor to that was the 3 point line. Boston attempted 42 threes on the night and converted just 9 of them, resulting in a 3 point percentage of 21.4%. Live and die by the three, unfortunately tonight was a night to forget from beyond the arc. Jayson Tatum (14 Points, 9 Ast, 6/18 FG) had a very poor performance by his standards, before he was ejected with around 4 minutes left after receiving his 2nd technical foul. The Celtics did attempt 20 fewer free throws then New York on the night, but Boston beat themselves with their lackluster effort and poor offensive efficiency. The Celtics will now return home with a 44-18 record with 20 games to play. They will begin a 3 game homestand on Wednesday night with a big game against Cleveland.
