Celtics beat Heat to punch ticket to NBA Finals for first time in 12 years
The Celtics are headed back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010 after outlasting the Miami Heat in Game 7 tonight in a nerve wrecking game. The final score was 100 to 96. Jimmy Butler had another stellar game with 35 points, but the combined effort by Jayson tatum (26 points), Jaylen Brown (24 points), Marcus Smart (24 points), and Al Horford (44 mins of pure effort) were too much for the Heat.
This is the first time the Celtics have won a Game 7 on an opponent's home court in 48 years.
