Video: Boston Celtics 120, Memphis Grizzlies 107 highlights
Tonight's Celtics vs Grizzlies game lived up to the superstar hype as Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum went at it, but it was the birthday boy that ended up victorious. Tatum, who turned 24 today, poured in 37 points as the Celtics took down Morant's Grizzlies. Morant finished with a game high 38 points in the loss.
Celtics' bigs Al Horford and Robert Williams both double doubled with the former finishing with a very impressive line of 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Celtics needed an offensive boost with Jaylen Brown sidelined and Horford came through.
Marcus Smart also had a great game finishing with 18 points and 12 assists. While Morant still had a huge game, Smart actually contained him better than others of late. It took Ja 29 shots to get his 38 tonight.
The Celtics improve to 38 and 27, while the Grizzlies fall to 43 and 21 on the season. The Celtics will complete their 3 game home stand Sunday afternoon when they host Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets.
