Celtics sweep road trip as Thunder's 4th quarter rally comes up short
Four games out west, four convincing Celtics victories. A strong 4th quarter made the final score look respectable for the Thunder, but the Celtics still won 132 to 123. Grant Williams went for a career high 20 points in the win. Grant, aka Batman, aka Grantman, also pulled down 10 boards.
Mr. Player of the Week, Jayson Tatum had another monster game finishing with 36 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. His parter in Jay's, Jaylen Brown, finished with stellar 25 points of his own. Robert Williams and Marcus Smart both did not play for Boston.

In fact the Celtics almost had five players score 20 or more, but Derrick White and Payton Pritchard each ended up 2 points shy. Still a huge boost by Boston's 2nd string backcourt (Though White did have a spot start tonight for Smart).
Unfortunately due to the Thunder's solid 4th quarter (and Udoka's fear of blowing the win), Boston only played 8 players in a game where it would have been nice to empty the bench and not have to play Tatum and Brown each 39 minutes.
The Celtics are rolling and have a 9-1 record over their last 10 games. With the win Boston's 45-28 record on the season now launches them into a 3 way tie for 2nd place in the Eastern Conference with the 76ers and Bucks.
The Celtics next play on Wednesday when they will be back home in Boston hosting the Utah Jazz. The Celtics have won 20 of their last 23 games.
