Video: San Antonio Spurs 99, Boston Celtics 97 highlights
Well so much for the narrative that all the Celtics needed was Ime Udoka's preferred starting 5 to be healthy and Boston would thrive. Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Robert Williams, and Al Horford were all present and accounted for tonight, but Boston still lost to the Spurs. The rebuilding Spurs only have 15 wins on the season, but two of them during their two games versus the Celtics.
Dejounte Murray led the Spurs with a near triple double of 22 points, 12, assists and 9 rebounds. Jaylen Brown followed up his 53 point performance Sunday with a solid game high of 30 points (only 1 assist though), but Jayson Tatum struggled from the floor in his return from COVID protocols. The game was back and forth for all four quarters and went all the way down to a missed Brown lay-up at the buzzer.
The Celtics fall to 18 and 20 on the season, while the Spurs improve to 15 and 22.
