Tatum leads Celtics back from 32 point deficit to 143 to 140 OT win
The Celtics had a 32-point comeback win against San Antonio. They were booed by the limited crowd as they were not happy, but they turned it around in the second half. Down 77-48 at the half, Boston made it a game again, and escaped with a 143 to 140 win to improve their record to 34-30.
Jayson Tatum who finished the game with his career-high 60 points, 21 of those coming in the 4th, kept the Celtics in this game. A huge 4th quarter propelled the Celtics' comeback. JT also added 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jaylen started to get going in the second half to finish with 17 points, but this wasn't Celtics basketball at all. A nice comeback to get the W, but spot Brooklyn, Philly, or Milwaukee a 30-point lead, and see how that game turns out for Boston. Wasn't the prettiest of wins at all, but they got it done tonight.
DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray led the way for the Spurs. DeRozan had 30 points while distributing the ball to come up with 14 assists. Murray contributed with 24 points to go along with 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.
The Celtics will look to bounce back against the Portland Trail Blazers. Dame will be coming to town as the C's will attempt to defend their home floor. That game will tip off Sunday at 7:30.
