Former NBA player Royce White threatens "pure violence" next time he sees Kendrick Perkins
How about KG as Perk's corner man in a future boxing bout between these two? |
No one told me, but somehow there's been a beef brewing between Kendrick Perkins and former NBA player Royce White. White is most known for the flight anxiety issues he had that prevented him from being able to stick in the NBA. Last year he made some news for becoming an MMA fighter. Or trying to become one. He also had issues with the Lakers signing Jared Dudley for some reason. Not that someone shouldn't have issues with there Lakers signing Dudley (he's washed up), but more why does anyone care that much? Oh yeah, it was due to Carmelo Anthony at that time supposedly being frozen out of the league.
White and Perkins got into it back in August over the Carmelo/Dudley thing. If you thought that ended the beef, it got rekindled this week, when Royce White decided to comment in a very aggressive manner to a rather positive message by Kendrick Perkins about his journey to get back in shape as he's become dangerously overweight.
I retired 2 years ago and since then I’ve put on 75 pounds!!! I went to the Doctor the other day and he told that I am walking a fine line of becoming a diabetic and that I need to lose weight and change my diet. Day 1 started today because my family needs me!!! pic.twitter.com/XE6Ea90ayj— Kendrick Perkins (@KendrickPerkins) March 21, 2020
Why Royce White got beef with Kendrick Perkins? Lmao 😂 pic.twitter.com/ul7z0A7dpw— 3rd Coast Sports Head 🇳🇬🇧🇯 (@mccauley713) March 22, 2020
Considering Perk is way out of shape and White has been MMA training, I'm going to have to remove my green tinted glasses and say yeah White would likely do damage to the former Celtic in a fight. But why in the world should they fight? We're not talking Jimmy Jackson and Jason Kidd fighting over Tono Braxton here. We're talking about a debate over whether Jared Dudley was a good signing for the Lakers. Insert shaking my head emoji.
Props to Perkins for taking a step forward regarding his health. Assuming he sticks with it and gets in much better shape a future Perkins vs. White boxing match would be pretty entertaining. My KG as Perk's corner man.
