Asked Brad Stevens earlier this week why the Celtics wanted Aron Baynes back:
— Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) July 1, 2018
"Just his contagiousness. He has, in a lot of ways, just a spirit about him that you want your team to embrace. His work ethic, his every day mentality. He brings just a juice every single day.” pic.twitter.com/K85o7S4FRD
Great news. And the Celtics didn't have to break the bank either. Baynes was a solid fit with the Celtics this past season and his playoff 3-pt shooting bodes well for an even stronger 2nd season in Boston. Now let's re-sign Smart!
Update: Baynes gets a player option for the 2nd season, so the Celtics really only lock him in for one season. Still I'll take it.
Sources: Aron Baynes also receives a player option on the second season in new contract to return to Boston. https://t.co/aIeg1m9Ghx— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 1, 2018
