Morris twins not guilty on all counts of assault charges
The last bit of unfinished business keeping the 2017-18 Boston Celtics from being a complete squad is settled, with Marcus Morris and his twin brother Markieff being found not guilty on all counts of charges related to an assault in 2015 linked to the brothers.
The incident - which you can get the nitty-gritty from our own Tom Lane if you want the juicy details of the trial - loomed over Marcus and the Celts' current campaign, with a guilty plea or conviction threatening a mandatory ten-game suspension (to say nothing of what they were facing in terms of sentencing). Marcus, who has already missed eight days of camp, should be able to rejoin the team immediately without any punishment from the league, bolstering Boston's thin frontcourt rotation.
