Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Abdel Nader OUT for tonight's SL game
The Boston Celtics have announced Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Abdel Nader will all miss tonight's matchup against the Golden State Warriors' Summer League squad.
The news, which is not surprising for Brown and Nader, given the contusion the former received on his hip playing against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night and the calf strain sustained by Nader in the same game, but comes as a bit of a surprise regarding Tatum, who is suffering from right patellar tendonitis.
This is a relatively minor issue on its own, but something to keep an eye on long-term, as such issues tend to recur and can limit an athlete's production and availability. No need to panic short- or long-term, though; Tatum is young, and has had little in the way of worrisome injuries in the past, and the Warriors are just 1-3 in Las Vegas Summer League play, an eminently beatable team for Boston's first match in the tournament round.
