Celtics getting ready for Las Vegas Summer League championship
The Boston Celtics, one of eight undefeated teams participating in the Las Vegas Summer League, are gearing up to try and take home the hardware.
The championship tournament will begin this Thursday for the teams seeded lower than the top eight undefeated squads, which include the Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers in addition to the Celts, with teams seeded ninth or lower starting in the first round, beginning today. Boston, along with the other undefeated teams will then begin play in the second round (having received a bye) on Thursday.
It is unclear whether Jaylen Brown, who bruised his hip in the Celtics 85-83 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers squad last night, will be available to play, though with a full day off for a relatively minor injury, it's certainly possible.
