Ante Zizic plans to play in the NBA next season
With the 23rd pick of the 2016 NBA draft, Ante Zizic was selected by the Celtics, who were taking advantage of an abundance of available assets. Now, the 20-year-old Croatian has made it clear that he expects to join the league next season, as per Eurohoops.net:
Zizic has heightened his stock this year, initially dominating opponents in the Adriatic League for KK Cibona, then moving to Darussafaka Dogus to compete in the Turkish Basketball Super League and the Euroleague – one of the elite competitions outside of the NBA.
The center’s numbers since stepping onto a bigger stage have been promising and have surely caught the attention of Boston’s front office. Director of player personnel Austin Ainge previously suggested to CSNNE that the plan is to have Zizic and Guerschon Yabusele wearing green next year:
This season, Boston are losing games through lack of rebounding ability and continue to struggle against teams with a strong inside presence. The sooner the team can add skilled, physical big men, the better.
