Isaiah Thomas with second straight 30-point game, Avery Bradley is now double-double machine? (videos)



Isaiah Thomas tied with Emmanuel Mudiay for the game-high in scoring with 30 points but the Celtics couldn't catch Denver. Nuggets got off to a quick start and won 123-107. This is just thrid time in Isaiah's career when he posts two straight 30-plus points game; the other two times were last season. After having trouble on the free throw line in first three games of the season, Thomas is now 28/30 in last three meetings.

Avery Bradley notched his third double-double this season (second straight) as he got 14 points, 11 rebounds (tying with Kenneth Faried for game-high) and six assists. Through six games 25-year old Celtics guard is averaging career-highs in points (19.5), rebounds (8.7) and dimes (4.3).


Marcus Smart in his third game after returning to court scored 13 points and gave the Celtics solid offensive burst off the bench but he couldn't impact the game on the defensive end of the floor.
