Countdown to the trade deadline - Nerlens Noel

As December approaches, articles about trade options tend to explode around the internet.

Some of us love them, some of us hate them, and some of us just want something - anything  - to happen to make our team better. Rarely, though, do such articles place their focus on the fanbase. In an effort to gauge how fans of the Boston Celtics feel about frequently (sometimes, too frequently) discussed potential trade targets, we're doing just that.

Each week until the February 23rd trade deadline, we'll give you a chance to weigh in on the names circulating in the NBA media circuit. We'll follow up with some discussion and analysis based on your responses, including any of the more interesting responses we get in the replies to our Twitter polls - so don't be shy, let us know what you think!

Where better to start than one of the most commonly-cited trade targets of the last few years, none other than Nerlens Noel? His very-public displeasure at his team's ill-fitted front court and expiring contract suggest a move is very likely to come before March, and more than a few pundits have suggested a good fit with the Celts.

He may not be the rebounder Boston needs, and his injury-prone history (he is just about to return to an NBA D-League rehabilitation stint with the Philadelphia 76er's affiliate squad, the Delaware 87ers, after another operation) is a reason to think long and hard, but given the lack of leverage the 76ers' front office has, he might be had for a song.

So, what do you think? Should Boston make an offer? If so, what kind? Let us know on Twitter if you can, or in the comments below if not.
