Jared Sullinger to have foot surgery, miss time - will it slow the Raptors?

In what has become something of a depressing annual ritual, Jared Sullinger, now with the Toronto Raptors, is reported to require foot surgery that will sideline him for several weeks. Currently, there are few details available about the severity of the issue, though it is, for the moment, being framed as a preventative measure after Sullinger injured the foot in the Raptors preseason opening game against the Golden State Warriors this past October first.

Slated for Monday, Jared's surgery is likely to have a recovery stretching well into the regular season, threatening the Raptor's chances to challenge Sullinger's former team for the second seed in the East.

Stay tuned for more details on this unfolding story; until then, let's hope Jared does the best thing for his career (and the Celtics), taking a very long time convalescing.
