In more shocking news, yes, they actually have this award. Somebody honestly has the job to determine the best 10 players in the chaos we call NBA Summer League.
Does this award mean absolutely anything in regards to how Jaylen Brown will perform this season? Of course not. But one fact worth noting is that he is one of only 4 rookies on the list.
In 5 games in Las Vegas, Brown averaged 16.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game to go along with one poster:
Terry Rozier, clearly the team's most valuable player was snubbed from the list. Sure he missed 2 out of the 5 games the C's played but he led the summer league is Player Efficiency Rating (PER) with a 36.7. To compare, 1st team award winners Tyus Jones and Ben Simmons finished 19th with a 16.4 PER and 146th with 13.7 respectively.
Never forget. (even though it was in Utah)
