Marcus Smart still on a minutes restriction

Marcus Smart played 11 minutes in the game last night against the Los Angeles Lakers and got all his minutes in the second half of the contest. Coming back from an injury, it's expected that Smart would be eased back into the rotation slowly after having missed 18 games.

Coming back from his knee injury, Stevens has plans to slowly re-ingratiate Smart into the Celtics lineup. While it is unclear whether or not Smart will be starting again given how well Isaiah Thomas has done as a starter, there should be no doubt about Smart stealing minutes away from Turner once he gets healthy.

The interesting part of the whole story will be will Smart take minutes from Avery Bradley or Isaiah Thomas once he starts getting close to 100%. Given that AB and Smart have a similar skill set, I would expect Smart and him to compete for a starting spot at Guard once Smart is back to his normal self.
