Last night against the Bulls, Sully pulled down another 16 boards, giving him 36 in a two-game span:

Brad Stevens noted how impressive Sullinger has been in the post lately, especially against taller guys like Anthony Davis, Omer Asik, Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol:
Stevens on Sully's rebounding: "He’s all over the glass, and that’s against really long players … When the ball hits his hands, it sticks."

Isaiah Thomas perhaps summed up it up best:

After Wednesday's victory of Chicago, Sullinger attributed his rebounding prowess to his mother. Via Marc D'Amico of Celtics.com:
That's a blessing my mom gave me; she gave me her booty, so I can give all the credit to my mama.
Before this week, Sully's previous season high in rebounds was 15, a number he'd reached three times in 2015-16. Overall, his average of 9.7 boards per game ranks 12th in the league.
