Around the NBA 11/29: Things Celtics fans should know from last night

As the Celtics were flying to Orlando for a Sunday night match-up with the Magic, there were 14 NBA teams in action last night.  Here are some things you should know:

2016 DRAFT PICK WATCH

1. The Nets lost to the Cavaliers 90-88.  They are 3-13.  The Celtics own the Brooklyn Nets 2016 first-round draft pick.

2. The Timberwolves did not play.  They are 8-8, which is good for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.  Minnesota will convey their first-round pick to the Celtics only if it falls between 13-30.  If Minnesota's pick falls between 1-12, they will instead convey their second-round picks in 2016 and 2017.

3. The Mavericks beat the the Nuggets 92-81.  They are 10-7.  Dallas will convey their first-round pick to the Celtics only if it falls between 8-30.  If Dallas' pick falls between 1-7, the conditional 2016 pick will become a 2017 first-round pick with the same conditions.

ATLANTIC DIVISION STANDINGS WATCH

4. The Raptors defeated the Wizards 84-82.

5. The Nets lost the Cavaliers 90-88.

Atlantic Division as of 11/29
Toronto 11-6
Boston 9-7
New York 8-9
Brooklyn 3-13
Philadelphia 0-17

FORMER CELTIC WATCH

6. As Rajon Rondo learned last night, nothing like playing the Warriors to slow you down.  Rondo played 25 minutes.  He finished with 7 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.

COUNTDOWN TO CELTICS ENDING WARRIORS WIN STREAK

The Warriors are 18-0.  They travel to Boston to play the Celtics on December 11th.  Let's hope the Warriors get to that game undefeated.
