Highlights from Amir Johnson's and Isaiah Thomas' big night
After winning their first two preseason games overseas, the Boston Celtics kept the momentum going in their return to the USA in a dominant win against the Brooklyn Nets, where they led from tip-off to the final bell.
The main story of the game was Amir Johnson and Isaiah Thomas (who got his first start for Boston) combining for 36 points, scoring 19 and 17 respectively. In fact, the official NBA YouTube account released a highlight video (the second video above) focusing on Johnson and Thomas before publishing their usual post-game video recap. A prevalent theme in the YouTube comments of said video is the dismay of Raptors fans for losing Amir, but their loss is Boston's gain.
Jae Crowder, RJ Hunter, and Kelly Olynyk contributed 11 points apiece, and Evan Turner notched 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists in his first game of the season.
