Four Bold Predictions for the 2015 Celtics

Media Day has come and gone and now we can start looking towards the Celtics 2015 season.

Here are four bold predictions for the C's this year.

1.) Celtics will have two All Stars

Yes, the Celtics will have not one, but TWO players going north of the boarder to Toronto to take part in the 2016 All Star Game.

The first player is Isaiah Thomas. Last season and primarily over the offseason Thomas has started to grow in celeberty status around the league. From his visits to the Drew League to hanging out with old friend Floyd Mayweather, Thomas is a budding star. He'll shine for the Celtics off the bench in '15 and at that time be in the lead for 6th Man of the Year making him an easy selection for the ASG.

Thomas' passenger on the bus ride to the Air Canada Center will be Marcus Smart. The second year guard makes the leap and turns into the Celtics best player leading them in assists, steals and second in scoring only to Thomas. His defensive prowess and improved three point game will give opposing teams nightmares. By season's end, he'll be one of the top 5 point guards in the Eastern Conference.

2.) Celtics will make it to the Eastern Conference Semi's

Celtics earn the 5th seed in the East and beat the Toronto Raptors in 6 games in the first round of the playoffs. In the Semi's they'll meet LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers where they'll ultimately lose in 5 games, but each game goes right down to the wire. More importantly, this series cements to free agents that the Celtics are just one piece away from contending for a title.

3.) Celtics make a big in-season trade

Danny Ainge is always looking to make a deal and with the C's in contention to get one of the top 5 spots in the East, he pulls the trigger and brings in some legit size. My guess Nerlens Noel from Philly. Okafor proves that he is going to take over the reins as their big man of the future and Ainge is able to swoop in and snag the local kid for future (Celtics) draft picks.

4.) Brooklyn has the worst record in the NBA

This final prediction has nothing to do with the 2015 Celtics, but it may be the most important out of the bunch. The Nets will be the worst team in the NBA, effectively giving the C's the best chances to get the number 1 overall pick in the 2016 draft. In Brooklyn there will be coaching ineptitude, player miscues and overall just bad basketball. It will almost be as enjoyable to watch for Celtics fans as their teams playoff run.
