No other components involved in David Lee-Gerald Wallace trade between Golden State and Boston, source says. Straight-up deal.

Can confirm Lee-to-Boston deal. Wallace will get an honest chance at a ring. Will be productive in limited minutes #celtics #warriors.

Move makes sense for Boston. Wallace was out of the rotation. Lee can play some five and rotate with Olynyk/Zeller/Sullinger/Amir Johnson.

Via David Aldridge:
David Lee's agent, Mark Bartlestein, says he and his client are happy with the trade to Boston and that Lee does not want to be re-routed elsewhere. Bartlestein: "They really like him. They pursued him for a long time. Bob Myers worked very hard with me to try and get David to a place he wanted to be. Boston is a great basketball town, great history with that franchise. It's an up and coming team. Everywhere David has been--Golden State, New York and now Boston--there has been a great basketball tradition. Every player wants to go where they can have a huge impact on a team's success."
Well there you have it. Gerald Wallace has been kicked off the Celtics Life banner finally. We'll see if David Lee is rerouted from Boston or of he's staying here. If he's staying in Boston, the Celtics power forward position just got very crowded. One of Chris Babb or Phil Pressey will likely be headed to Golden State as well to make the contracts match. Babb and Pressey both have non-guaranteed contracts.
