The Brooklyn Nets defeat the Boston Celtics 109-107

It seems to be feast or famine when it comes to these Boston Celtics. After winning three in a row, losing the next three and winning the next three after that, Boston finds itself in yet another three-game losing streak.

The good news from Friday's 109-107 loss to the Brooklyn Nets is Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger broke out of their mini slumps. Green had 22 points and Sully finished with 19 points and eight rebounds.

The bad news is they got beat by Jarrett Jack, who not only put up 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists, but he also hit the game winner with less than a minute left.

In Marcus Smart's second NBA start, the rookie had five points, six assists, four steals and three rebounds in 31 minutes. Certainly not eye-popping numbers, but he can fill out a stat sheet and his scoring should improve with time.

Boston plays the Washington Wizards Saturday.
