James Young has nice game but Red Claws 8 game win streak snapped

James Young, in his first game action since injuring his shoulder, had a really solid performance again today for the Maine Red Claws who lost 96-95 to the Canton Charge. This loss ended the Red Claws impressive eight game winning streak.

Per the Red Claws NBA.com page:

James Young (15 points, 1 assist), on assignment from the Boston Celtics, exploded in the first half with 10 of his 15 points going 4-6 from the field and 3-6 on 3 point attempts. Young scored back-to-back points for the Red Claws on an alley-oop pass from Tim Frazier followed by a solo steal finishing with the dunk.

Young's highlights are below which are always fun to watch because of his super smooth jumper and underrated athleticism:

Celtic fans probably shouldn't anticipate Young getting any time on the big stage soon, though.

With Brad Stevens current rotations it appears Boston is looking to evaluate and showcase as many players as possible prior to the trade deadline.

It also appears to be the organization's intention to land in the lottery again looking to get a big man through the draft or by trading their plethora of first round picks.

If this is what the Celtic brass is thinking Young could benefit by getting some valuable minutes later in the season.
