Evan Turner is not a fan of Kyle Korver's defensive abilities
After Boston blew yet another big lead in Atlanta last night (the Celtics have been ahead by double-digits in each of their last four games and lost every time), it was no surprise that Evan Turner was a bit frustrated. And when players get frustrated they often tend to complain about officiating. But in Turner's case, he also managed to take a nice dig at Hawks sharpshooter Kyle Korver. Via Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, Turner said:
They started pressuring and it’s tough to score when you have two hands inside your jersey as well. At the same time, I got a foul call on Korver and they said I pushed him and tripped him and he just fell. He can’t guard to save his life and he’s grabbing Marcus Thornton and he’s grabbing me and he has no business being in the game on the defensive end but what can you possibly do if they’re allowed to have their hands on you?
Whether or not he can "guard to save his life," Korver led the Hawks with 24 points on 8-for-9 shooting, including 6-for-7 from three point range. He also chipped in six rebounds, four assists, a steal and one block--on Turner (pictured above).
