Celtics ride exciting fourth as they defeat the T-Wolves 114-98 in Boston

First Quarter

A pretty uninspired and uneventful quarter other than the play of Kelly Olynyk who had 11 points, 3 rebounds, a beautiful interior passing assist and a block in under seven minutes as Boston led 27-24.

Avery Bradley had six for the Celtics on 3-8 shooting as his three point slump continued going 0-2 in the quarter.

Number one overall pick Andrew Wiggins was 0-5 for the Timberwolves.

Second Quarter

Despite the Celtics allowing Minnesota to hit six straight shots in the first half of the quarter and Chase Bundinger scoring seven straight points for the Wolves-Boston went into the locker room leading 53-48.

Evan Turner had a great quarter contributing eight points.

Third Quarter

Tyler Zeller and Jared Sullinger offset sloppy Boston play with six points and eight points respectively in the frame.

Former high school sensation Shabazz Muhammad had 21 after three on a hyper efficient 9-13 keeping Minnesota within striking distance.

Fourth Quarter

Muhammad cut the Celtic lead to 90-88 on a three and Kelly Olynyk responded with a three of his own as the Celts led by five with 7:42 to play.

Marcus Smart later displayed his big shot penchant hitting a HUGE three as the shot clock expired giving Boston a six point edge with under six to play and Jeff Green completed a lefty slam off the break off a T-Wolve turnover to increase the differential.

This turned out to be the back breaking sequence for the Celts as they kept the foot on the gas going on to get the 114-98 W.
