Flip Saunders will be the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves

Flip Saunders just confirmed to ESPN he is indeed the new coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves

When you want something done, you have to do it yourself.

Flip Saunders will be taking over as head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. If Love sticks around and signs a new deal in Minnesota, Flip Saunders becomes their Doc Rivers. If Love leaves or forces a trade, Flip Saunders becomes David Kahn 2.0. There are miles in between those two options, but no choices in between.

The internet was quick to respond to the breaking news.

Saunders will continue to have final say in the front office and work closely with GM Milt Newton on that side of things.
