The Heat join the ranks of the Celtics and the Lakers by making the NBA Finals four years in a row
Let me first start by saying... ugh.
The Miami Heat are the first team since 1988 to make the NBA Finals four years in a row joining the ranks of the Celtics and the Lakers.
As easy as it is to hate on the Heat, they made May 30th a day to remember for the right reasons. The Donald Sterling saga is nearing a close (in theory). Arguably the biggest black eye the NBA has had since the Malice at the Palace, I think we were all rooting this mess to come to a close. With Steve Ballmer buying the Clippers for TWO BILLION DOLLARS, we are one step closer to this all being over.
While the Sterling mess will undoubtedly be one of the biggest stories of the year, the history books will remember May 30th for the Miami Super Friends as the advance to the Finals for the forth time in four years. Given the alternative of today being remembered for the sale of a franchise and another step in this ongoing drama, I'm fine with that.
