Celtics plan to work out Doug McDermott, Gary Harris and Nik Stauskas

Would Boston really use the sixth pick on Harris (14) or Stauskas (11)? |
As we've discussed before, if the Celtics keep their #6 overall selection in all likelihood they will draft one of four players: Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle, Noah Vonleh or Marcus Smart. According to The Boston Globe's Baxter Holmes, Boston isn't even going to bother bringing in the top four candidates:
Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid & Dante Exum all won't work out for Celtics. They all expect to be gone by the 6th overall pick.

Holmes also suggests the C's will take a look at some outside the box options for the sixth pick:
Lottery-caliber players that the Celtics plan to work out: Randle, Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, Harris, McDermott, Stauskas.

If Boston loves what they see in Michigan State guard Gary Harris, Creighton forward Doug McDermott, or Michigan sharpshooter Nik Stauskas, trading down in the draft could become a distinct possibility. All three of those guys should still be around in the 9-11 range (and maybe even later), and it'd make a lot more sense to also get something else in return rather than just taking one of them at #6.
