Brandon Bass had 2nd highest FT% in the NBA for a big man; 25-57 season totally worth it?
Not sure how we missed this until now, but the Boston Celtics 2013-2014 season was actually a huge success after all.
Lost in all the perpetual year-long tank talk was Brandon Bass' significantly-better-than-average free throw shooting. Bass has always been a good foul shooter, for his career he's at 83.4%. However, this past season he upped that number to 85.8%, good for 14th best in the NBA, and second to only Dirk Nowitzki among power forwards and centers.
.@bestbetbass set new career highs in points (911), rebounds (470), assists (87) and blocks (71). Also was 2nd among NBA bigs in FT% (85.8%)

In all seriousness though, Bass did have a career year that will hopefully spark some interest in him on the trade market this offseason.
