Following a super human 61 point game, Marvel Comics gives LeBron a mask of his own

I guess that's cool. A few weeks ago, Bron-Bron got his face smashed and has been playing in a mask to protect the injury. Seeing a great opportunity for some publicity, Marvel Comics came to the aid of the captain of the super friends with a reward for playing through some adversity.

Spoiler alert- I'm not a LeBron fan, but this is a great idea and a pretty good move for Marvel. After LeBron's 61 point game, here is what Marvel came up with:

Wait.. NO!

Captain America?! Sure- I understand that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is only like weeks away from coming out, and this is a great way to get a little cross promotional advertising out into the online universe... but you're going to give call LeBron Captain America?!

Cap is undoubtedly the most selfless and team oriented super hero in the game today and you give LeBron the Cap mask?! HE ENDED THE MARVEL CIVIL WAR, GUYS. Et Tu, Marvel Comics?!

This comes on the heels of LeBron posting his own hero mask to Instagram two weeks ago with the hashtag #StriveForGreatness.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME, MARVEL?! When this popped up on the KingJames Instagram account, he didn't even clone one of YOUR superheroes! He went trans-universe with a DC Comics mask. AND BANE NO LESS! Even HE knows he's a villain!

Also, Bron-Bron... Strive for Greatness? With a Bane mask? Newsflash, bro- Bane lost at the end of The Dark Knight Rises. He might have strived for greatness, but settled for causing chaos, killing thousands of people and destroying a city before getting his ass kicked by Catwoman. He made Gotham look like Cleveland from the Cleveland Tourism videos. So, yea... in that sense I guess it fits perfectly.
