Jared Sullinger, the Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Jared Sullinger is playing pretty well heading into the upcoming All-Star break. How well?

He was just named the BEST player in the Eastern Conference for last week.

Of course, Sully isn't the only Celtic to win the award this year. Jordan Crawford quite famously won it early on in the season, though his play dramatically declined after that.

This 18-34 Celtics team has not had many shining moments, but the play of Jared Sullinger has undoubtedly been the greatest part of the season. Last week he took things to another level - averaging 20.3 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.67 blocks. Of course, the week was highlighted by his career 31 point, 16 rebound night against the Kings, a game in which the Rondo and Bradley-less Celtics strapped themselves onto the sophomore's back.

Boston may be a ways from contending, but if Sullinger is a part of the mix in the future, there's a lot to look forward to.
