Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk selected to play in Rising Stars game at All-Star weekend

Boston Celtics players Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk will be traveling to New Orleans on All-Star weekend to participate in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, which features the best rookies and sophomore players in the NBA (as selected by the NBA's assistant coaches):

Many felt that Sullinger was being snubbed from the game last year when he failed to be selected as part of the rookie group, but coincidentally, he suffered a season-ending back injury right after the 2013 Rising Stars announcement, so he wouldn't have been able to play had he made the team.

The game takes place on Friday, February 14th, 2014, and like last year, instead of doing the rookies vs sophomore format, the teams will be drafted by TNT personalities. After the draft on February 6th, fans will be able to vote for each team's starters. You can visit the voting website at bbvacompassrisingstarschallenge.votenow.tv, where you can currently vote for your favorite rookie (unfortunately Olynyk didn't make the cut, but you can win a trip to the NBA playoffs), and then vote for the team starters after February 6th.
